After studying applied design and illustration at Stellenbosch, he trained at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy (2012–2015), where he later served as an assistant instructor in drawing and figure. His perceptually focused paintings balance formal training with intimate, personal expression, and engage with the history of representation and the charged landscape of contemporary South Africa, moving between abstraction and figuration. He has exhibited across South Africa, including at the Investec Cape Town Art Fair, and is represented by Dyman Gallery in Stellenbosch. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eOliver was the first artist to come and paint with me in January!
