Alice Toich is a painter who works exclusively from life, in oil on linen, canvas and wooden panel, rather than from reference materials. Her subjects are drawn from close to home: florals and garden scenes, still life, portraits and the settings of home, often painted outdoors in the open air. She also accepts commissions for gardens, florals, still lifes and portraits.

Alice masterfully painted these garden flowers onto shells in my studio. It was the one and only time we happened to have flowers and she said, this is it! Zinnias, daisy's and Dahlias are immortalised on the shell. I will miss this bouquet on a shell in my studio! A totally beautiful object!
